Dust from Our Eyes: An Unblinkered Look at Africa -- by Joan Baxter

Joan Baxter is a Canadian mother of two, who has worked for years with African development organizations. She has reported for IDRC, BBC, CBC, and many newspapers including Le Monde Diplomatique (see her article in the January 2010 French edition). Her books include A Serious Pair of Shoes - An African Journal, Graveyard for Dreamers, Strangers Are Like Children, The Hermit of Gully Lake, and Dust from our Eyes (2008).
